11-Month-Old Boy Dies in Collingdale; Mother Questioned

Posted: Updated:

Collingdale Police are investigating the death of an 11-month-old boy.  They were first called to a home at 225 Lincoln Ave. on a report that the boy had difficulty breathing.

He was taken to a hospital in Darby where he was pronounced dead.  Police began speaking with the mother, Christine Rivero and say drug paraphernalia was found in the home and linked back to her.

The Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division Detectives were called in to assist in the investigation.  Collingdale Police Chief Robert Adams said the mother is considered to be a strong person of interest in the case and was questioned for three hours.

Adams said detectives are waiting for the results of an autopsy to assist them in their investigation.
