Philadelphia Police have released chilling surveillance video of a man that tried to kidnap a young girl in South Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened on the 2400 block of Lee Street. Surveillance cameras caught the incident as the girl was walking down the street with her two year-old brother. The man exits his vehicle and follows them before putting his hand over her mouth and tries to pick her up and take her away. The girl struggled with the suspect and was able to get free.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male with thin build and medium complexion. He is believed to be between 30-40 years old with a thin mustache, black curly hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and blue pants. The suspect fled in a white four door sedan and is believed to be a late 1990's to early 2000's Mitsubishi or Nissan. Police also say that the vehicle has a noticeable black scuff mark on the rear driver's side bumper and a dent on the left front fender near front wheel well.
