Philadelphia Police busted a chop shop operation tonight on Orthodox St near the Delaware River.
Police acted on a tip from a citizen on suspicious activity in a wooded area off of Orthodox St near the Betsy Ross Bridge. Police arrested three individuals caught in the act of stripping down a stolen Ford pickup truck that was stolen earlier in the day from Upper Dublin, Montgomery County.
Police also found a second vehicle as well at the scene, a stolen GMC Denali, which was reported stolen a few weeks ago in the Northeast area.
The Major Crimes Unit of the Philadelphia Police is investigating and it is not know yet if this may be part of a lager operation. Stay tuned to Fox29 for updates on this story as it comes.

Rain moved in Saturday afternoon and the chance for it will stick around through the seven day forecast.
It becomes very unsettled across our area with clounds and showers again Sunday. The best chance for rain is in the morning and afternoon thunderstorms are possible towards our south.
