The main broke Sunday night, flooding several streets and closing down parts of Bainbridge and 21st streets.

Mayor Michael Nutter says the city is working with PECO and PGW.

In the meantime, neighbors have been dealing with flooded basements and other damage.

But the repair work has some unable to get into their homes.

One resident described the scene Sunday night as "mayhem," saying all she was told was that she couldn't go any farther or anywhere near her house.

Neighbors said they're trying to be patient and wait.

The mayor updated the neighborhood on the work and said there is no structural damage to any of the homes that have been flooded.

FOX 29's David Kinchen has more details in this video report.
