Philly Police Internal Affairs Official Under Investigation

Posted: Updated:

A high-ranking member of the Philadelphia Police Department's Internal Affairs Bureau is now under investigation for some scandalous acts that have been alleged, police say.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley was live at the roundhouse Wednesday morning with reaction from the commissioner.

The officer in question is a nearly 20-year veteran of the department.

His official title is staff inspector. His office is at IAB, which is located on Dungan Road.

Commissioner Charles Ramsey says the inspector has been assigned to other duties temporarily while the investigation is going on.

According to reports, the allegation is that the inspector had sex with two female police officers in his office, not at the same time, and then disciplined them after having relationships with them.

Ramsey would confirm only that the inspector is under investigation for allegations of misconduct.
