4 Sought In Grocery Store Robbery

PHILADELPHIA -

Police are searching for four people who took part in a mid-day armed robbery of a Germantown grocery store this week.

It was Monday at 1:50 p.m. when police say the four unknown males, two of them armed with handguns, entered Carmen's Grocery Store, located at 952 East Woodlawn Street.

Once inside, the robbers entered the office and took an undetermined amount of money before running away, headed south on Devon Street.

Video shows the robbers knocking a clerk to the floor during the robbery.

Police described all four robbers as being black males. The first two were between the ages of 16 and 18, police said. One of them was 6 feet tall with thin build wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants with white stripes and carrying a silver handgun. The second was 5 feet 9 inches, also with a thin build, wearing a red baseball cap with black trim, possibly with "Miami" on the front, a gray sweatshirt and dark pants. He was armed with a handgun.

The last two individuals were wearing gray hooded sweatshirt. One wore dark pants and brown work boots, while the other had on dark jeans and black sneakers.

Police said contact 911 immediately and do not approach these individuals, if you see them.
