Woman Found Tied Up In Home

Posted: Updated:

A Gloucester Township man comes home to find his wife tied up, with a pillow case over her head.

She told police two men broke into her home on Jefferson Drive just before 10:00 Saturday night. She walked upstairs to her bedroom, where she saw the men, disguised with ski masks, and armed with handguns. They demanded money and jewelry. When she told them she didn't have any, they tied her up with zip ties, threw her on the bed, and threatened to shoot her. One of them men took her diamond engagement ring and wedding band off her finger, and ran off.

By the time the woman's husband got home, they were gone. The woman suffered minor injuries, and refused medical treatment.

Police now tell Fox29 the victim and her husband were targeted. The two own a jewelry store, but police are withholding the name of the store to protect the victims.

The attackers are described as two black men wearing black ski masks and dark clothing. One of the men was about 5'-10" and spoke with a Jamaican accent, though it may have been a ruse.  If you have any information, please call the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500, or the Gloucester Township Police Anonymous Tip Line at 856-842-5560.
