TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -
The son of a missing Oakland County man has been arraigned on credit card fraud charges.
Patrick Mikes Jr., 21, was arraigned Wednesday in Auburn Hills. Prosecutors say he is accused of stealing his 16 year-old brother's credit card and using it to buy dinner and a movie the night before their father disappeared.
Patrick Joseph Mikes, 55, was seen last seen Friday afternoon leaving home on his black Cannondale Super 6 road bike.
His sons reported Mikes missing Sunday morning. That's when officers noticed evidence of an violent altercation inside Mikes' Troy house.
Troy Capt. Robert Redmond said Mikes' sons did not give "a coherent response" to the time it took to report him missing. Prosecutors called the younger Mikes a suspect in "an ongoing missing person's case." Bond was set at $50,000.
