Broken Pipe Stinking Up Street Since Holidays

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

People in Northeast Philadelphia's Millbrook section are fed up over a disgusting mess.

They called us to get results because a broken pipe is leaking raw sewage outside of their homes.

Human waste is flowing out of a broken drain pipe and into the street. People say it has been stinking up the neighborhood since Christmas.

But calls to police, city officials and to the water department have provided no relief.

So, after we made a phone call to the water department, crews arrived to clean up the mess.

They also marked the area to start underground repair work on the broken pipe.
