7-year Old's Call To 911 Saves Her Mother's Life

Posted: Updated:

A call came into the Newark 911 Center at around 1:15 p.m. on July 26th.

The voice on the other end was that of a concerned 7-year old child.  The girl calmly told the operator that her mother was not acting right.  The child went on to properly give the operator her address and some information on the medical history of her mother.

The call was transferred to the New Castle County Fireboard.  Throughout the call, the child was attentive to her mother and stayed on the phone with the gentleman until the paramedics arrived.

The mother was transported to Christiana Hospital.  She was treated and made a full recovery.

In it's press release, the Newark Police Department gives kudos to the young lady for a job well done.
