Roaches Invading Home In Fishtown

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Walk down this block in Fishtown and your skin will start to crawl. There are bugs pouring out of one home and invading another.

"There are roaches everywhere, the house is totally infested with roaches, " said Homeowner Charles McCloud.

It looks like something out of a movie, like revenge of the roaches, but this is real home on the 800 block of Livingston street.

"Every night I spray my front step with a whole can of raid just to stop roaches from coming out her door into mine," said McCloud.

McCloud is furious with his neighbor. He says her home is crawling with roaches. For months he's been asking her to fix the problem. Today suddenly with no warning an exterminator bombed the house but that sent the nasty critters scurrying into his home.

"It's terrible I have 11 month old, 6 7 year olds , roaches out when I watch TV and there over the baby."

So, McCloud had no choice but to bomb his home. Still more roaches are squeezing out of the cracks.

"I'm worried about them crawling on the baby, on the floor, and they're not cooperating us," said Carol McCloud.

The McClouds say their neighbor lets garbage pile up. They even took photos of it. The Philly Department of Licenses and Inspections cited the home last year for rubbish in the back yard.

"They go 3 to 4 months without putting trash out for collection. We see possums, raccoons, now bugs," said Carol.

"Tonight they'll be back out running up her shades windows and they are in the walls, " said McCloud.

We could not reach the resident or landlord for comment, but the McClouds are running out of patience as they run away from the roaches.
