FOX 29 first showed you earlier this week the damage being done by the low-life vandals slashing pools in Mayfair.
So, we went to work to get results for residents of Hellerman Street and, in the process, found surveillance video of the slashers in action on another block in the neighborhood.
FOX 29's Bruce Gordon talked to people out there Friday and filed this video report.
Nina Ruggiero's boyfriend installed security cameras when their front yard pool was vandalized last summer.
And look what those cameras captured.
It's July 14, just after 5 a.m., and a white, full-sized SUV has dropped off the vandal at the end of the 7100 block of Walker Street.
He makes a beeline for the pool just across the street from Ruggiero's place and goes to work.
You can't really see him puncture it, but after he goes half way around the pool the water level starts to fall. The man runs down the hill, the SUV picks him up and it drives off.
The folks at Huntingdon Valley-based Chemical Concepts saw our reports on the pool vandalism and offered free repairs to victims on the 3100 block of Hellerman Street.
They use a new type of vinyl patch with a water-proof adhesive.
"We felt this was a good opportunity to get some publicity for the product. You know, we're not hiding that fact. And we thought we could solve the situation as well," said Marvin Morris, of Chemical Concepts.
Renata Lopatto says her granddaughter uses the pool when she visits. She's coming Saturday
Lopatto said the company showed up "in perfect time."
