Philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion robbery that happened overnight in Kensington.
According to police, two men entered the home on Wishart Street just before midnight, tied up the family and stole $7,000 in cash. They also pistol-whipped the 23-year-old son.
The father works in construction and did not keep his money in the bank. The family was saving up to buy a house.
