Gold-Medalist Carli Lloyd Returns From London

Posted: Updated:
LUMBERTON, N.J. -

Olympic gold medalist and New Jersey native Carli Lloyd is back from London and joined "Good Day" on Tuesday morning.

Lloyd scored both goals to defeat Japan in the gold-medal game.

The Delran High School grad was right back on the practice field in Lumberton on Tuesday morning with the ladies from Medford Soccer and "Good Day's" Jennaphr Frederick.

Joining them was Lloyd's coach, James Galanis, an Aussie who fell in love with South Jersey and runs the Universal Soccer Academy.

Galanis also coached Lloyd's fellow gold medal-winner, Heather Mitts.

Lloyd actually engraved her coach's name on her shoes during the Olympics.

Lloyd will be running a camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday. That will be followed by a ceremony in her honor at 2:30 p.m.

There's a little mishap at the end of the last segment. Cross your fingers that JennFred, our resident "danger mom," is OK!
