PHILADELPHIA -

A person was struck and killed on the tracks of SEPTA's Broad Street Line on Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 5 a.m. at the northbound Lombard-South Station.

As a result, SEPTA suspended service in both directions between the Walnut-Locust and Snyder stations, running shuttle bus service between those two stations.

The police activity was also blocking lanes on Broad Street.
