Nike's New 'Gold Digging' Shirt: Sexist Or Ironic?

Nike has a bit of a controversy brewing across the blogosphere and in the Twitterverse.
The company recently released a t-shirt emblazoned with the words , "Gold Digging" across the chest. The shirt is only offered in women's sizes and was meant to pay tribute to all the golds that the US women won at the Summer Olympics in London.
Many blogs and tweets have taken issue with this phrase, claiming it is very sexist.
Nike has responded with a statement, saying: "Nike has consistently supported female athletes and the position they enjoy as positive role models. The t-shirt uses a phrase in an ironic way that is relevant given it was released just as the world focused on the success of female athletes."

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.
The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday. That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.
By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain. It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
