NJ Wedding Venue Shuts Down, Takes Couple's Money With It

Posted: Updated:

FOX 29 is working to get results for some soon-to-be newlyweds.

A New Jersey couple booked their reception at Shannon's Country House in Atco. But, just three months before the big day, they got a letter saying the venue shut its doors.

The couple received a check for half of their deposit, but they are still out a thousand dollars.

"It's a disappointment. When you have your heart set on something and then it just completely vanished," said bride-to-be Danielle Marziano.

"It's about what is right and satisfying the people you let down," said groom-to-be Mike Warker.

We tried to contact the owners of the reception hall by phone and email. So far, our calls have not been returned.

But a little silver lining: The couple has now secured another location for the wedding.

FOX 29's Chris O'Connell has more details in this video report.
