New Video Shows Suspects in Police Officer's Murder

Posted: Updated:
NORTH PHILADELPHIA -

Investigators say these are the two murder suspects calmly strolling north on 19th Street early Saturday morning, just minutes before they crossed paths with Officer Moses Walker. Seconds later there was a confrontation that ended in deadly gunfire.

"They're vicious violent killers. There is a predator and prey, that's what they're doing they're out there specifically to try and track somebody down to rob them, shoot them, to do whatever," Comm. Charles Ramsey said.

The new video of the suspects comes from a mosque on 19th Street. Police now believe the two killers live in the neighborhood where Officer Walker lost his life in a gunpoint robbery gone bad.

Police say there's no doubt these two guys went looking for a robbery victim.

"They see what they believe is a target and they pounce on him, yes," Capt. James Clark of the Homicide Unit said.

Homicide detectives believe the suspect in the light colored hooded sweatshirt is the gunman who pumped three shots into Walker as he pulled out his weapon when they announced a robbery.

Walker was headed for home after his overnight shift. He lost his life just a few blocks from where he worked.

"These are the two individuals who are responsible for killing the off-duty officer," Clark explained. "But we don't know who they are yet."

As the reward climbed to $118,000, the Guardian Angels hit the streets, stopping drivers as they traveled through the crime scene area. They are hoping someone can help police catch a pair of killers.

"We're trying to make a difference. Help out where we can," said one of the Guardian Angels.

But Ramsey warned, "Until these folks are off the street and in jail for long periods of time, it's not going to stop. Today it's somebody else, tomorrow it could be you."
