Abington, Bensalem Make "Best Places to Live" List

Residents of Montgomery County's Abington Township and Bucks County's Bensalem are taking in some good national news about their communities.

They made Money Magazine's top 100 list of Best Places to Live for 2012.

Abington came in at number 47.  It was welcome news to Ralph DeVito who moved there a short time ago to raise his family.

"Our kids are growing up, and we hope to stay here for a long time," he said.

Bensalem made the list at 85, and that came as a surprise to some.

"I think that's a pretty good number out of a 100," said Cliff Benningfield.

"Could have been a lot worse you know?"

The magazine focused on small communities for the study and evaluated factors like family income levels, performance of schools and overall quality of life.

The only other Pennsylvania community to make the list was Millcreek, located on the northwestern side of the commonwealth along Lake Erie.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
