PHILADELPHIA -

FOX 29 News has learned that Philadelphia police have taken into custody one person of interest in connection with the murder of Officer Moses Walker Jr. over the weekend.

A U.S. Marshals Task Force picked up this person of interest Wednesday afternoon in the area of 54th Street and Gibson Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, sources tell FOX 29.

He's being taken to the police department's Homicide Unit for questioning.

The search continues for a second suspect who police believe was involved in the killing.

Officer Walker was fatally shot early Saturday morning during what police have called an apparent robbery attempt on Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Earlier on Wednesday, police scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. to update information on the investigation. But that was quickly canceled.

It was Tuesday when police released more surveillance video that investigators said showed two "suspects" walking in the area prior to the fatal shooting.
