Flasher Exposes Students To Unwanted Lesson

Posted: Updated:
NEWARK, Del. -

A naked man's been giving University of Delaware students an anatomy lesson they'd rather forget.

"Disgusting! Really gross!" exclaimed Ciola Evans.

"That's disgusting hope I never see it," said Julie Chen.

Campus police released a surveillance picture of the suspected flasher, lurking in the bushes outside Townsend and Worrilow Halls.

Investigators say he's been giving groups of college women the full monty.

Eight incidents of indecent exposure on campus since spring 2011.

"So  far there hasn't been any contact made with any of the students other than exposing himself," said University of Delaware Police Chief Patrick Ogden. "But it could escalate to the next level and that's our worst fear."

Chief Ogden says the 25-30 year old man has been seen walking around campus.

Newark police are also investigating several similar incidents off campus... including one on  West Park Lane.

On campus, the pervert typically hides in the heavily wooded area around Townsend and Worrilow halls.

Then strikes when students like Wang Yue leave the building or pass by between 8 PM and midnight.

"He jumps out and to get their attention sometimes he'll slap his buttocks, " explained Chief Ogden. "And once they scream he'll run back off into the woods."

There  are about 100-cameras keeping watch at the University

Campus police have stepped up patrols.

They say it's been difficult to catch the pervert because he'll strike then vanish for months.
