Ugandan Little League Team On 'Good Day'

Posted: Updated:
NORRISTOWN, Pa. -

Did you see that great moment at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania a few days ago, when the first African team came to play in the tournament?

It happened because of the dedication and hard work of the players and coaches as well as two Delaware Valley men – one of them Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins. The other was David Chandler, owner of Rx Sport-Chandler Bats in Norristown, Pa., which has donated a lot of sports equipment.

It has been a long journey for the team.

On Tuesday morning, FOX 29's Bruce Gordon talked live on "Good Day" with Chandler, team coach Henry Odong and players about their experience.

The Ugandan team was set to play a team from Plymouth Meeting right around noon.

Then, they'll be Rollins' guests at Tuesday night's Phillies game against the New York Mets.
