Serious allegations are being made against former Rockwood police officer Christian Zieminski. He's accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a female prisoner. We've also learned he's been in trouble before.

The Rockwood Police Department released a statement saying that Zieminski used to work there, but after a citizen complaint, the chief asked Michigan State Police to launch an investigation.

Before we even rang the doorbell, we saw a sign posted on Zieminski's front door warning trespassers. It said, "Children present. Do not knock or ring the doorbell. This is a warning. Violators will be prosecuted."

Neighbors said the Zieminskis are lying low.

"You're either hiding something. You don't want people to know what's going on," one neighbor told us.

In the middle of the interview with that neighbor, who did not want to be on camera, a man got into a car identified as Zieminski's and sped away.

Zieminski was arraigned Tuesday and charged with second and fourth degree criminal sexual conduct and misconduct in office.

This is not the first time he has been accused of sexual misconduct. In 2006, he was fired from the Brownstown Police Department for having sex with a 17-year-old student at Woodhaven Brownstown High School where he worked as a liaison police officer.

"To me it makes it garbage. You're here to protect us. Now we have to hide from you?" the neighbor said.

In a statement, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said, "These are very serious allegations that, if proven to be true, undermine the trust which citizens must have in our police officers."

The neighbor said Zieminski was always friendly, but quiet. He expects more out of those who vow to protect and serve.

"That's totally wrong. You've got to have a little more respect for that. What are people supposed to think of when they see something or hear something like that. There goes your community."
