The Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement says it has arrested a 21-year-old man accused of reaching over a plexiglass barrier at Delaware Park and grabbing 17 gaming chips worth a total of $8,500 and then taking off through an emergency door.

According to police, Kevin M. Davis was arrested Monday by Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement officers at his Newark, Del., home.

Investigators say they found the gaming chips inside Davis' home.

The alleged theft happened Thursday Aug. 23.

The DGE says Delaware State Troopers and Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement Agents, along with Delaware Park Security helped to identify Davis as the suspect in the theft.
