Hero Pastor Takes Control Of Swerving Bus On Pa. Turnpike

Posted: Updated:
BEDFORD, Pa. -

The actions of a quick-thinking pastor saved the lives of bus passengers on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The driver of a Megabus lost control on the turnpike near Bedford, Pa., earlier this week.

That's when Pastor James Grantz sprang into action. He grabbed the wheel and steered the bus safely to the side of the road.

"I felt the adrenaline, it was shaking, and it was just like a little bit of shock. I couldn't stop thinking about it after it happened," Grantz said.

The pastor happens to have a commercial driver's license.

Megabus says the driver of the bus suffered a medical issue at the time but is expected to be OK.
