PHILADELPHIA -

Surveillance video released by the Philadelphia Police Department shows a man holding a gun over the counter of a market on the 400 block of North 54th Street in Philadelphia.

According to police, the unknown man walked into the Morel Food Market on Tuesday and pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the cash register.

A surveillance camera inside of the store happened to be pointed directly at the man and the gun.

Police say the man obtained an unknown amount of money and then took off east on Parrish Street toward 53rd Street.

Police describe the suspect as a black male between 20 and 30-years of age. The man is 5'6" to 5'7" tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black and orange baseball hat,  a dark colored t-shirt with "Made in Philadelphia" printed on the shirt. The man had dark colored "Nike" pants with a white stripe on the side and a tattoo of what police say appears to be a sword or knife on his left forearm.
