Police: Girl IDs Man Who Stabbed Her, Killed Her Brother

Posted: Updated:
CAMDEN, N.J. -

Camden police are investigating a vicious attack on two young defenseless siblings.

A 6-year-old boy was killed, and doctors worked much of Sunday to keep his older sister alive.

A man came into their home and slit their throats. Two other girls, ages 9 and 14, were able to run for help.

Amber Andujo, 12, came out of surgery Sunday afternoon. She's still in critical condition.

Amber's brother, Dominick, was killed in the attack on the 900 block of Ware Street in Camden around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the young girl who survived was able to identify her attacker, but they're not releasing a name.

Officials also are not telling us whether they've made an arrest or filed charges yet.

So far, there's no word on a motive in the attack.

Neighbors say their mother was recovering from surgery at a local hospital when the attack took place.

After learning the news on Sunday, friends of Dominick and Amber started a memorial in front of their home.

FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito has more details on the story in this video report.
