Driver In Deadly Black Horse Pike Accident Facing New Charges

Posted: Updated:

Last week, police announced it was 28-year-old Allison Nasta who was behind the wheel of her minivan when it was involved in a deadly accident on the Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville. Now, police say she is in jail for a string of recent Atlantic County burglaries.

Her husband and two children were also in the van.

Nasta's husband died as a result of the injuries he sustained.  The two children were unharmed.

Police say Nasta was driving with a suspended license and had drugs on her at the time of the accident.

The following day, Nasta was arrested on a slew of new charges related to a string of residential burglaries.  This was a by-product of the accident investigation spearheaded by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Egg Harbor Township officers say Nasta was staying at the Hampton Motor Lodge in West Atlantic City. Police searched the room and found jewelry, computers, safes, a camera and pieces of identification belonging to other people.

Investigators say they've linked the stolen property to eight recent burglaries in three Atlantic County towns.

Nasta is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $150,000 cash bail.
