Marchers took to the streets of Philadelphia Monday in celebration of the 25th Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Festival.
For many, it was a day of pride and fun. But this year, the event also touched on the anger of many city unions in fights over new contracts.
Other groups hope Labor Day brings awareness to maternity care.
As part of a national movement, many gathered at Independence Hall for the "National Rally for Change," part of a public awareness campaign to bring attention to what the group says are outdated medical practices for mothers and babies.
