Severe Weather Makes Its Way Through PA, NJ

PHILADELPHIA -

Severe weather made its way through parts of southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey Tuesday, bringing with it heavy rain and, at one point, a tornado warning.

The tornado warning, which expired at 3:45 p.m., extended to east central Burlington County and southern Ocean County in New Jersey.

Other areas saw heavy rain and some flooding. Flood warnings and advisories were issued for parts of New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania.

Thunderstorms on Monday caused big problems for several residents in parts of northern Kent County in Delaware. By Monday afternoon, there were several reports of a funnel cloud in the area. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado briefly touched down in the area.

Several homes were damaged.
