Officer Hurt During Northeast Philly Arrest

PHILADELPHIA -

Investigators say a Philadelphia police officer was injured while making an arrest overnight.

Police say a robbery suspect assaulted the officer in Oxford Circle.

That suspect and another man reportedly robbed a person and got away in a silver Mercedes. Police found that car at a nearby gas station.

When one of the suspects resisted arrest, he began attacking the officer.

The officer should be OK.

Both suspects were in custody Wednesday morning.
