Mold Forces Closures At 4 Schools In South Jersey

PHILADELPHIA -

Some students in South Jersey will enjoy an extra few days of summer vacation. The start of classes is delayed because of mold found in school buildings.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley reported live Thursday morning from outside Ocean City High School with more on the mold problem.

Ocean City High School is the largest of the four schools affected by the mold issue. It will open on time, but six classrooms and the auditorium there are closed down.

Officials from the other schools say they will open next week, after the classrooms are deemed safe.

Those include Northfield Community School and Jordan Road School in Somers Point, both of which will open Monday, and Weymouth Township School, which will open Tuesday.
