New stoplights that include countdown timers are expected to make crossing Roosevelt Boulevard a little easier.

Traffic crews installed five new stoplights at Tomlinson, Longshore, Bowler, Faunce and Friendship.

The new signals include countdown timers that will let pedestrians know how long they have to get across the boulevard.

In order for them to work, you need to hit the button to activate the system and bring traffic to a stop.
