Firefighters Hurt Battling Horsham Strip Mall Fire

Posted: Updated:

Four firefighters were hospitalized after fighting a blaze Sunday afternoon at a strip mall in Horsham.

None of the injuries was considered serious. One of those firefighters had already been treated and released by Sunday night, FOX 29's Chris O'Connell reported, and the other three were released by Monday morning.

Investigators tell FOX 29 that they are looking into what caused a fire at The Shoppes at Blair Mill on the 100 block of Moreland Avenue.

Investigators believe that the fire started in a laundromat, near the back of the building, according to what eyewitnesses told fire officials.

The two-alarm fire was called in at 4:41 p.m. and was placed under control at 6:12 p.m.

Some of the other businesses in the strip mall suffered water, smoke, and fire damage.

There was no word as to how much in total was damaged.
