Some students in South Jersey are getting an extended summer vacation because mold was found in their schools.
And it's taking longer than expected to get things cleaned up.
Northfield Community School in Atlantic County will be closed until Sept. 24. School officials were hoping to resume classes Monday, but there were scheduling conflicts with the environmental cleaning crews.
Mold has also forced three schools in Somers Point to cancel classes this week. Many parents are now scrambling to make last minute arrangements.
Ocean City High School will be open Monday. However, parts of the building that have mold will be closed off.
