"It's concerning," said Jayme Volatta. She's talking about reports of a man exposing himself in Wissahickon Valley Park.
"It makes me want to be more cautious."
Volatta says incidents like this are the reason she never bikes alone.
"I don't come here by myself. It makes it a little less safe if you ask me," said Volatta. She and her biking partner had no idea they were riding near where the suspect was spotted.
"I wouldn't suspect anything like that here, no," said Volatta's friend.
A woman says she saw the guy around 10 o'clock, near Kitchen Lane and Monestary Stables. He was bare chested and wearing only black jogging pants when he flashed her. Debbie Lefco believes she met the suspect that same morning.
"We just chit-chatted in the morning. It was a perfectly harmless natural interaction," said Lefco who walks the park daily in the early hours then brings her two dogs in the evening. Debbie remembers him wearing the same outfit but says he didn't expose himself to her. Still she's on guard. She brought her cell phone and mace out this time. And like others who biked and walked the trails as they normally would, Debbie says she'll be alert but won't stay away.
'I'm always aware that on these trails it's isolated and everyone I know says don't go. But it's why I live here."
The suspect is described as 5'6", with a muscular build, between 20 and 30 years old.
