2 Philly Police Officers Accused Of Utility Theft Scheme

PHILADELPHIA -
Only Fox 29 cameras were rolling when police Lieutenant Aisha Perry surrendered to internal affairs Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say Perry and 14th District Officer George Suarez are accused of a utility theft scheme that netted them thousands of dollars.
According to a search warrant obtained by Fox 29, the pair would disconnect utility lines and bypass the meters belonging to Philadelphia Gas Works, PECO and the Philadelphia Water Department.
The warrant says the two officers were running the identical scheme at four residential properties the pair owned between them.
