Faster TSA Security Screenings In Philly, But Only For Some

If you're planning to travel out of Philadelphia International Airport in the near future, the security screening process might go a little faster -- but only if you're an eligible passenger.
The TSA is set to unveil an expedited security screening process that begins Thursday for select US Airways frequent flyers and members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler programs in Philadelphia.
The expedited screening will benefit those traveling domestically.
The TSA says the passenger pre-screening initiative, "TSA Pre," is part of the agency's larger effort to implement risk-based security concepts that enhance security by focusing more resources on travelers the TSA knows less about.
According to the TSA, more than 2.5 million passengers have experienced "TSA Pre" nationwide.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
