'Sparky' The Cat Rescued From Philly Utility Pole

PHILADELPHIA -

A cat appropriately named "Sparky" is now safe and sound after getting stuck at the top of a utility pole for days.

Fox 29 was there as a group of SPCA and PECO workers came together to help rescue the cat in the city's Hunting Park neighborhood.

Earlier, the cat got out of its carrier and was chased by another dog before running up the tall pole on Erie Avenue.

Workers played a cat and mouse type game as they worked to trap the cat in order to bring it down safely.

Eventually, workers managed to get the net in the right place, thus bringing Sparky to safety.
