Big Bucks Paid For Rare Atari Video Game In Philly

Posted: Updated:

Here's a blast from the past: If you remember the Atari game system, you may not believe this.

It just so happens some folks will pay some pretty big bucks for some of its video games. We're talking nearly $14,000!

"Medium Bobs" in South Philly has seriously hit the jackpot. It's something they didn't expect when a friend gave the guys there a box of games thought to be worthless.

But after some research, it turns out the game is actually extremely rare.

And once the public heard this store had it, employees here couldn't stop the phone calls.

But the offers weren't good enough.

Instead, the guys decided to put the game up for auction on eBay, and the bidding exploded.

They say the $14,000 may even be more than the store brought in all of last year.
