Police: SEPTA Trolley Driver Stabbed By Transgender Woman

SETPA Police are investigating a trolley incident that left the driver injured after a passenger who often refused to pay the fare allegedly stabbed him.

According to SEPTA, Collingdale Police responded to a report of a stabbing on a SEPTA trolley near Woodlawn and McDdate early Friday morning.

Police say when they arrived, they found the trolley driver hunched over and bleeding.

The driver told police a transgender woman who allegedly never pays stabbed him when he told the suspect they would have to pay.

The driver says the suspect began to yell at him and then struck him in the face with a knife.

During a search, police say they spotted the suspect running down McDade Boulevard. Eventually, officers managed to catch up with the person running and were able to identify him as the suspect.

According to SEPTA, the suspect was identified as Christopher Vinson Dob of Darby Township.

SEPTA says the trolley driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for a puncture wound above his nose and eye.
