Philadelphia police say a driver who hit a motorcyclist overnight and fled the scene is now in custody.
The motorcyclist was driving through the intersection of Harbison Ave and Comly Street around 2am Saturday, when he was hit by a car. Police say the driver sped off, leaving the injured motorcyclist on the ground. He was taken to Hahnemann hospital in critical condition.
The striking vehicle was found a short time later on the 5300 block of Erdrick Street. The driver was arrested, but has not been formally charged.
