Neighbors Seek Pit Bull's Removal After It Kills Another Dog

PHILADELPHIA -

Neighbors on Iseminger Street in South Philadelphia say they want a pit bull removed from the neighborhood.

Last week, the dog attacked and killed a Yorkie.

The pit bull apparently broke out of its backyard and broke through the gate of Jean DeRose's backyard.

"It had her whole body in its jaw and she was just looking at me as if to day 'save me, save me,'" DeRose said.

DeRose is angry authorities did not have the pit bull put down and allowed the owner to keep it after the attack.

She started a petition, signed by other neighbors, to get the pit bull removed before another animal or person gets hurt.
