
Police in Newark, Delaware are searching for two suspects involved in the armed robbery of two people who were sitting outside of an apartment complex.
Police say a man and a woman were sitting on the curb outside of the University Courtyard Apartments on September 15 at 2:30 a.m. when they were approached by two suspects armed with silver revolvers.
As the two suspects approached, police say the two victims began to stand up. As this happened, one of the suspects struck the female victim, causing her to fall to the ground.
Police say the suspects took cell phones and a wallet and then left. They were seen heading towards Newark High School.
Police describe one of the suspects as a black man, standing 6' to 6'2". He was seen wearing a gray or black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and dark colored jeans.
The second suspect is described as a black man with a small build, between 5'6" and 5'10" tall. It's not clear what the second suspect was wearing, but police say he did have on red and white basketball style sneakers.
