CHELTENHAM TWP., Pa. -
The FBI and police are searching for a bank-robbing duo that hit a Citizens Bank branch Wednesday morning in Montgomery County.
The robbery occurred at 9:55 a.m. at the bank located on the 100 block of South Easton Road in the Glenside section of Cheltenham Township.
According to authorities, the suspects entered the bank with their hoods up and faces covered. One went to the counter while the other went into the offices, pointed a gun at employees and demanded that they come out.
The suspect at the counter pointed a gun at one of the tellers, handed them a black canvas bag and demanded money. When the drawer was open, the other suspect jumped onto the counter and took the money out of the drawer while also pointing a gun at one of the tellers and demanding money.
Both suspects ran off with an undetermined amount of cash and got into a four-door white sedan, possibly with a dark colored roof.
A witness reported seeing a dye pack detonating inside the vehicle.
Both suspects were described as being black and between the ages of 20 and 30. The first was 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall, wearing a black sweatshirt with a large Nike emblem on the front and dark-colored pants with white stripes going down the legs. He held a black semi-automatic handgun.
The other was 6 feet tall, wearing a red Adidas sweatshirt with black stripes going down the arms, light colored pants, sunglasses and a scarf. He held a dark-colored handgun.
