Water Main Break Closes Lane On Roosevelt Boulevard

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A water main break in Northeast Philadelphia is keeping crews busy Friday morning.

It happened just before 3 a.m. near the southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard, between Woodward and Strahle streets.

The water is causing the sidewalk and parts of the outer lanes to buckle.

Police have shut the outer lanes down for the time being.

Check: Latest Traffic Conditions

We are told the Philadelphia Water Dept. is at the scene getting the problem fixed.

There's no word on how long the repairs will take, so we're anticipating a lot of build up as we get into rush hour this morning.

So, you can still get by the scene in the inner lanes, but Bustleton Avenue will get you to where you're going, as well.
