Problem With PETCO Photographer Hits Clifton Heights Woman

Posted: Updated:

When Theresa Francione isn't  fighting mad at "Paw Prints Unleashed Photography,"

"I'm disgusted and hurt! I feel betrayed !"

She's fighting back tears thinking about the death of her Pit Bull Otis Redding.

His bedding and ashes are a fixture in her living room to months after he died.

"I did everything I could for that dog to keep him around another week, another week , another week, " Francione said repeatedly through tears.

Knowing 12-year-old Otis was in his final days, back in July Francione took Otis and his sister Sophia Loren to a Clifton Heights PETCO for a family portrait.

Francione  paid about $50 to a company called Paw Prints Unleashed Photography. PETCO used the company nationwide at all its stores.

Francione says she was told she'd get her puppy portraits in a couple of weeks.

That  was July 7th. More than eight weeks later she still hasn't gotten the pics.

And to make matters worse, Otis died one week later.

"It would be different  if he was still alive. I  could go take them somewhere else. But he's not around  anymore and that basically was his last picture alive."

Calls to Paw Prints Unleashed Photography  say the number is  blocked.

Their website is in black, apparently taken down.

PETCO has severed ties with the company and  has helped some customers get their pictures back.

But Francione is still waiting for them  to find the pictures of her beloved Otis who posed in a 2010 calendar with Phillies manager Charlie Manuel.

"We just want our pictures. We want our memories that's what we want. They need to hold up their end of the bargain. Bottom line!"

A PETCO spokesman says they've found 80 to 95% of the pictures taken and hope to have them all returned in a few weeks.

He said they think they've located the photographer who took Theresa's pictures.

We'll keep you posted.
