Flight Attendant Forgets Gun In Bag

Posted: Updated:

There may be times when we forget we packed something in a suitcase. But a handgun is usually not on the list.

That's exactly what a  flight attendant at the Philadelphia International Airport had in her carry-on Sunday morning.

She was going through a TSA screening area, when she was stopped by security. She explained that she had a permit to carry, and simply forgot to take the gun out of her bag.

Philadelphia Police were called to Terminal C around 6:50AM to make sure things didn't get out of hand.  When one of the officers tried to put the safety on, he accidentally fired the gun. Luckily, no one was hit.

The flight attendant was given a citation for having a legal-owned firearm in a TSA area.
