Luzerne County, Pa., is grappling with a heartbreaking tragedy. Three teenagers there have committed suicide within the past two weeks.
Luzerne County's district attorney met with school officials Tuesday to discuss the recent suicides. She says she's investigating claims that at least one of the teens was bullied.
Students at the area high schools are upset and are encouraging their peers to reach out for help.
"There's always like one person that's there for you, you know," high school student Karina Hoover said. "No matter how down you are, you can always have that one person who will be there for you no matter what."
A meeting will be held at one of the high schools Wednesday night. Suicide experts, faculty members, and students will all attend.
Wildfire danger continues into Thursday evening with low humidities and dry conditions. Winds continue to gust close to 30 mph.
