Dexter football player airlifted to hospital feeling 'better'

There were tense moments at a football game when Nathan Robarge, a player for Mill Creek Middle School in Dexter, collapsed and had to be airlifted to the hospital. Thankfully, he is doing just fine.

The eighth grader told us he is feeling "better", be he is "soar".

"I remember I was scared. I didn't know what was happening at first," he said.

The boy is literally a walking miracle. Just hours ago, he was strapped into a helicopter and flown to the University of Michigan's Mott Children's Hospital with a concussion he got during a football game against Chelsea Middle School.

"They said that he took a shot in the head and that it snapped his neck back. They were very cautious, so they weren't moving him at all," said Brian Robarge, Nathan's father. "When they said that they were going to bring in the helicopter, that's when we really started to panic."

"He's doing good now, so we were just really scared because with a neck injury like that you never know."
